The Blood Test is done when a skin test cannot be made as a consequence of skin conditions or medication that might interfere. The blood is taken and different allergens are added to the blood sample.
The Skin Test is very accurate and most affordable. An amount of an allergen is placed on the skin and then the mark is scratched with a needle. If there is an allergy to a certain allergen, the skin should present swelling, redness and itching in approximately 15 to 20 minutes.

The Patch Test is done in order to locate a contact dermatitis. A little amount of allergen is placed on the skin and covered with a bandaged afterwards. The physician will check the spot in forty-eight hours and see if a rash developed
